CHEESEBALL BLURBS

Monday, May 18, 2015 0 Comments A+ a-

Recently I found myself posting things that I felt I needed to post. I realized that this is my blog and I post what I want to and although traffic is good, I'm not posting to be famous or known, and I kind of forgot that during the past few weeks. I started this blog because I love to write and today, that is exactly what I'm going to do.

It's been a long while since I wrote a one-shot or anything original story related and since I have this habit of compiling dialogue or lines or events that randomly pop inside my head when I'm doing something, I decided to share some with you guys.

Most of the lightning ideas I have are about the on-going story I'm working on, Gehenna, but I do have a couple that are just cheesy lines that I think might be useful in the future when I'm working on a fanfic or anything under chick lit or of that sort. I'll also include some of my favorite cheeseball lines from books and movies I love.

Without further ado, the Cheeseball Blurbs blog post!

Yes, that happens to be a picture of cheese and books.
I turned most quotes into graphics because why not? Photo sources are in the bottom of this post. If you see a photo that you own and would like me to remove it, just leave me a comment below and I shall.

Also, I'm just gonna go ahead and say that I will not be including the quotes that everyone seems to have heard already by now such as "Okay? Okay." or "I do, Augustus, I do." While I do love the good 'ol John Green cheeseballs, let's shine the light to other books/authors as well.

Self-gratification. I called myself an author. Amazing.

This is my absolute favorite. I know, I know, Junie B. Jones is a series for those who are just starting to read chapter books (I finished all of the books when I was 8 or 9, I think), but this is seriously so adorable.

If you don't know the story about it, the guy on the right is Meanie Jim. He likes calling Junie names such as Junie Bird Jones. They're basically mortal enemies. But one Valentimes day, Junie receives a mushy gushy Valentines Card. She takes on a quest to find her secret admirer and Meanie Jim accidentally slips and tells her. Call me shallow, but this is the most adorable thing I have ever read.

"How do you and Anna make it work? You make it seem easy."
"Being with Anna is easy. She's the one."
- Etienne St. Clair from Lola and the Boy Next Door (Stephanie Perkins)

Oh Alex, you cheeseball! And yes, I made an All Time Low fanfic a looooong while back. I make fanfics about almost everything. You have no idea.

"Still think this is cliche?" Luke asked, grinning, as we continued running.
"What going out on a secret date with your babysitter who happens to be your cousin's best friend and a member of famous band? This totally a copy-pasted chick lit novel."
- Samantha Hood from Typically Cliche (a fanfic by yours truly, don't judge)

Luke Hemmings from Typically Cliche. Okay, in my defense, I make fanfics for my own eyes only. But TC was actually posted online and I got positive reviews, so I continued to write. I like writing, fanfics or not, so save your persecution and leave my fanfics alone ((yes I am talking to YOU, Ella (younger sister))

"Some of us get dipped in flat, some in satin, some in gloss..." He turned to me.
"But every once in a while, you find someone who's iridescent, and when you do, nothing will ever compare."
- Grandpa Loski (yes I forgot his name and am too lazy to go get the book and check) from Flipped (Wendelin Van Draanen)

I was looking for a certain quote in Throne of Glass, but I got distracted and lost in thousands of Chaol Westfall fan art. I got carried away, so instead of a quote, here's Jensen Ackles as Chaol Westfall.

If you haven't read Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas yet, I suggest you go buy it/borrow it right this instant and read it.

"We like people because of their positive qualities, but we love people because of their defects."
I will be very honest and say that I don't know where I heard/read this quote. But it got stuck in my head and it's one of the very few quotes that I have memorized.

Hope you guys enjoyed that as much as I did. 'Til the next blog post!
